About

Researcher with over a decade of experience in applied research for industry and academia. My research areas are generally the sphere of Internet of Things (IoT), and I’m particularly interested novel communication and localization approaches. I’m currently a Lead Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi, where my current activities are focused on developing resilient and secure mesh networks, both for First Responders and for UAVs.

I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bristol and an MEng in Computer and Electronic Systems from The University of Strathclyde. In between the MEng and the receiving the PhD I spent some time with research labs at Thales Research and Technology and the Toshiba’s Bristol Research and Innovation Laboratory.
